Online Counseling Services

 

I provide counseling services to individuals and couples, and have substantial experience working with clients experiencing various life changes.  Specialty areas include relationship concerns, LGBTQ issues, traumatic life events, anxiety and stress management, as well as substance abuse and other behavioral addictions.  I’m also experienced in cross-cultural and expatriate issues, and having done so myself, recognize the challenge that living in other countries can present.  If you prefer to engage in counseling from your home or office, possibly connect while traveling, or if the distance to get to a counselor is just too great, then online counseling may be for you.  

 

What do you need to get started? 

 

I use Skype and Windows Messenger to provide online counseling, which you can download easily and for free here if you need them: 

 

 

Skype encrypts the video and audio streams, so your confidentiality is protected.  You also need a webcam and microphone so I can see and hear you over the internet.  If you’d like to try instant messaging for your counseling session, either of those programs will also work.  Please note that online counseling isn't suitable if you're currently in crisis; if that's the case, please go to Befrienders Worldwide.

 

In either case, simply email me with any questions you have, or to set up an appointment.  Prepayment via Paypal is required to lock in your scheduled session.  I’ll then email you some initial paperwork, such as a consent for services and a client intake form, both of which you’ll just email back to me.  That’s all it takes!
